Installed Base (IB)

Installed Base (IB) refers to equipment installed at the customer’s premises. It is sometimes known as “As Installed” or “As-Built”.

Installed base management allows representing and managing products at the customer’s site including products used internally. This allows assigning equipment, serial numbers, materials, and documents belonging together as installed base components.

Management of installed bases allows recording parts belonging to each installed base for documentation purposes.
